Olta works alongside your doctor.
Clinics screen, test and treat using your medical record. Bone strength also depends on what happens at home every day, and on knowing what to ask at your next appointment. Olta helps with both.
Before the appointment
Understand which risk factors apply to you, then bring a one-page visit prep sheet with your answers and questions about bone density (DXA) testing.
Between appointments
Check calcium and vitamin D against NIH amounts, track strength and balance habits, make your home safer from falls, and set reminders for follow-ups.
Where routine screening doesn't reach
U.S. guidance recommends osteoporosis screening for women 65 and older and younger postmenopausal women at higher risk. It finds the evidence for screening men insufficient, and it does not cover children or pets.

Private by design
Your health answers never leave your device.
Most health apps collect your answers and promise to protect them. Olta is built so it never has them. Surveys are scored in your browser, your logs stay on your phone or computer, and nothing connects to your medical records.

For everyone under your roof
Most bone health services focus on women after menopause. Olta also covers men, for whom routine screening is not recommended, children who are still building bone, and the pets who cannot tell you they hurt.
Women
Perimenopause, menopause and beyond: screening, nutrition and strength habits that protect bone.
ExploreMen
U.S. guidance does not recommend routine bone density screening for men, so knowing your own risk factors matters. Testosterone, medications, training and fracture risk.
ExploreChildren & teens
Building peak bone mass: nutrition, activity and knowing when a fracture history deserves a closer look.
ExplorePets
Mobility, joint and bone health for dogs and cats, with veterinary specialists who can help.
ExploreCommon questions
My doctor already screens me. Why would I use Olta?+
Your doctor decides on testing and treatment, and Olta does not change that. Olta covers what happens around appointments: understanding your risk factors before you go, bringing a clear summary and questions, and keeping up the habits that protect bone at home. It also helps people routine screening often does not reach, such as men, younger women with risk factors, families with growing children, and pet owners.
Does Olta connect to my medical records or my doctor?+
No, on purpose. Olta does not read or send medical records. You choose what to share by printing or showing a visit prep sheet at your appointment.
Is Olta Health a medical provider?+
No. Olta Health offers educational surveys, self-tracking tools and a directory of clinicians. It does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Results are a starting point for a conversation with a clinician or veterinarian.
What does it cost?+
The surveys and tools are free, and none of them need an account.
How are specialists added to the directory?+
Clinicians apply through the For clinicians page. Each application is reviewed before a profile is published, and profiles show whether credentials have been confirmed. A listing is not an endorsement.
Who can see my answers?+
Only you. Surveys are scored in your browser and results stay on your device. Olta Health never receives your answers, so there is nothing for us to share or lose. Community posts are the exception: they are public, so leave out anything that identifies you.
What happens if I switch phones or clear my browser?+
Data kept on a device is removed when you clear that browser. Download a copy from My Olta, or create an account (no email needed) and keep an encrypted backup that only your passphrase can unlock.
How do I contact a specialist?+
Directly. Each directory profile lists the clinic's phone, website or booking link. Olta does not sit in the middle, so what you tell a clinic stays between you and them.
Can I use it for my pet?+
Yes. There is a pet mobility survey and a log for tracking stiffness, activity and weight to show your vet. Neither one assesses or diagnoses your pet.
Where does the health information come from?+
Tools use published guidance from U.S. public health sources such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the CDC and MedlinePlus. Each tool links to its source.
